What can I say but “Wow!” Flip is a totally engrossing, thrilling and though-provoking book. Edgy, unnerving at times, you totally engage with the urgency of Alex’s plight. This book doesn’t merely “deal with” big emotional issues of identity, conformity and direction in life,it positively grabs them by the throat with a gritty realism not unlike the work of Keith Gray. Superbly-drawn characters deliver a plot which weaves fantasy and reality together so expertly that I for one found myself willing to engage with the idea of “psychic evacuation” and even googled it to check out whether there really was a forum of evacuees- but not until I had finished the book, which I simply could not put down!

I absolutely loved this book! Not only was there a great plot, but the book was very well written. The author really digs deep into the lives of these two young boys and it is like you are going through this journey with them!

There are books that you simply read for entertainment and for a good time-pass. I was expecting the same from Flip… But, I absolutely LOVED the book for the fact that it delves so deep into spiritual issues and questions scientists will never be able to answer… It got to me from the first chapter and I hanged on to it till the last… (Although I wish Rob also had a happy ending…) I have to give it to the author *bow down completely* 😀

The book was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Just finished reading it and it was as if a part of me died when the book finished. I was so attached to it that I had kind of started thinking that it won’t finish! I have been in Alex’s mind and into Philip;s body due to the magic the words weave! Teenage problems…the angst issues. Goth angst is what I felt..when anything went wrong with Alex! A book totally worth reading! iT IS better than anything else I ever read…and I keep reading it..again..and again…and again…

I was looking for something to read & my daughter lent me this book. She hasn’t read it yet and I am nagging her and my other children to do so. It is brilliant;so engrossing that I couldn’t put it down, reading into the very small hours. I felt for all of the characters, even the those hadly mentioned. I really wanted it to work out for them all (including those on the ‘web site.’)I would love a sequel to see what happened to Philip. He really is a victim, completely innocent yet his future seems so bleak. And I can’t believe I’m writing like this about fictional people but this book just draws you in.
