Bob’s just the job
I’m deeply flattered to have received this wonderful endorsement of Never Ending from the multiple-award winning author Robert Swindells:
“What can I say once I’ve said I wish I’d written it? It’s the greatest teen novel ever to come my way and I don’t expect to find a better.”
Of course, I’d be delighted to garner praise of this kind from any reader, critic or fellow-writer. But I’m especially honoured that it should come from a hugely successful and respected author of dozens of novels for children and young adults over a career spanning 40 years and who has won just about every award going, including the Carnegie Medal – for Stone Cold, 1993 – and no fewer than four Red House Children’s Book Awards, most recently for Blitzed (2003). His 1989 novel, Room 13, is one of the classics of contemporary teenage fiction.
My daughters are both big fans of Robert Swindells’ work and are dead impressed that he said something nice about their dad’s novel!
