Breeze please
Half-term is upon us and I’m making the short trip into Leeds on Monday to run a creative writing workshop for teenagers. The session, part of Leeds City Council’s Breeze Arts Week, is the first of a series of events aimed at children and young people during the school break and which also includes workshops in film-making, comics, drama and DJ-ing.
My workshop, for 12-16 years olds, is focusing on characterization in fiction-writing. It runs from 10am to 12 noon at The Carriageworks, in Millennium Square, and, as of yesterday, there were still a couple of places available, priced £3 or £2 with a Breeze card. You can book through the box office on 0113 224 3801. For full details of the week’s activities check out the website at: www.breezeleeds.org .
