Herts and minds
I’m looking forward to a trip to Hertfordshire next week to take part in the children’s programme of the St Albans Literary Festival.
I’ll be sharing a stage with three other YA authors – Sarah Crossan, Natasha Ngan and Emma Pass – for a panel discussion about teenage fiction, as part of a day of activities hosted by St Albans School (whose former pupils include Stephen Hawking). It will be great to meet Natasha and Emma for the first time and to work with Sarah again, after our very enjoyable recent joint event at the Ilkley Literature Festival.
After the panel, the four of us are leading separate creative writing workshops for young people, from schools around the city, who will be attending the day. A book-signing session rounds things off. The festival, which includes scores of events for adults, teenagers and children at venues across St Albans, runs from November 6th to 9th.
